Frequently Asked Questions

  • Coaching, sometimes known as Life Coaching, and talk therapy both aim to improve well-being, and can help you achieve personal and professional goals. Both help motivate, build confidence and offer emotional support, guiding you to find the answers you need within the wisdom you already have. Coaching focuses on the present and future, while talk therapy offers exploration and processing of the past and how it impacts the present. Coaching does not require a coaching license or degree whereas talk therapy, often times known as psychotherapy, does require a higher education.

  • Nature-informed therapy, or nature therapy, is mental health therapy provided by a licensed therapist that occurs in a natural environment or integrates nature remotely via telehealth for those who cannot or do not want to meet outdoors.

Nature therapy recognizes the vital link between human health and nature. Natural settings have been proven effective at reducing stress and enhancing therapeutic results. Learn more about how nature therapy helps your mental health here.

There are several potential options that we can choose from together.

There is no strenuous physical activity, and each session is designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible.

  • Our initial session is a chance to connect virtually, allowing exploration of needs, discussion of confidentiality, and development of a personalized plan. This plan may include outdoor sessions, ultimately, you determine what feels right, with nature incorporated into the process.

  • Walk and talk takes our sessions outdoors, benefiting from movement and nature. While outdoor sessions can be incredibly beneficial, it's important to understand that complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in public spaces. To address this, we'll actively choose quieter, more private routes and plan together for how to handle potential encounters with others, particularly when discussing sensitive topics.
